- Jun 9th, 2020 Andy Fuchs has been putting Dumble style tone into the hands of guitar players for reasonable prices since before I can remember. I love my Blackjack 21 so much, and now with my Two Notes Torpedo Captor X I can match it to a cabinet perfectly (it's a little pickier about which cabinets it sounds good through than some amps).
- I have a Blackjack 21 combo (first model, four controls, 1 x 12'). My Fuchs ODS 50 SLX is stock except for retubing as is my Pignose 60. High end speaker cables.

So, I have tried:- WGS Blackhawk Alnico ... did not sound good to me
- EVM12L ... sounded good, but heavy and a beamy
- Eminence EM12n (neo) ... sounds pretty good, a little dull at lower volumes, but really quite good at higher volume (this is the current speaker in the amp)

I have two more ‘speaker on the shelf' options and thought I would reach out for opinions first: one is a Celestion Mesa C90, the other is the WGS G12c/s. The WGS would be a significant departure from what I typically read that people are using, so I am especially curious if anyone has tried this in a Fuchs Blackjack (or similar Fuchs amp).Fuchs Blackjack 21 Mkii Combo
I think I am looking for a speaker that will have some upper sparkle at lower volumes and have clear low end at most any volume. The WGS sounds so good in a Quilter I have, it makes me wonder if it might fit the bill in the Fuchs!
